Description

Activities and responsibilities
• Unload and load delivery vehicles.
• Load customer's products in their vehicles when needed.
• Merchandise plants and products.
• Provide care for plants (watering)
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Any other related tasks as determined by the Garden Center Manager.
• Support Garden Centre staff as required.

• Answer customer inquiries.
• Answer Garden Centre phone calls.
• Give recommendations to clients regarding plants and other garden-related products.
• Merchandise products.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Handpicking plant material based on Landscaper’s order requests.
• Handpicking plants for online orders.
• Preparing plants for customer deliveries.

Periodic Responsibilities
• Assist in quarterly inventories.
• Support Retail Staff as required (Labourers & Cashiers).
• Unload incoming deliveries.
• Any other related tasks as determined by the Garden Centre Manager.

Qualifications
• Horticultural Diploma / Certificate or relevant experience in the field of horticulture
• Retail and/or Customer service experience is an asset.
• Bilingualism is an asset.
• Good knowledge of trees, shrubs, evergreens, vines, annuals, and perennials, as well as their characteristics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with the public in a retail setting.

The focus of this position is to provide excellent customer service in the interlock department as well as provide administrative assistance to the department as part of day-to-day operations.

• Provide excellent customer service in person and through all other means of communication.
• Preparing sales orders or estimates for clients.
• Answer contractor and retail customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain an ongoing knowledge of in-stock products and communicate requirements to complete orders.
• Increase sales of interlock and hardscape products.
• Giving recommendations to clients regarding interlock and hardscape-related products.
• Process customers’ transactions via the POS system.

Qualifications

Description
The primary focus of this position is to cover the administration office outside normal business hours.

The secondary focus is to provide support and relief to the administration staff during the busiest times. Instructions will be given from members of the finance team, from time to time.

Activities and responsibilities
• The “point” person on the switchboard, receiving and transferring phone calls.
• Greet visitors to the office.
• Track the “ins and outs” of employees.
• Assist with filing AP, AR, and others.
• Create POS documents using MS WORD
• Special projects.

Qualifications
• Prior experience in an office or customer service setting is an asset but not required.

• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with working in a Windows environment.
