Activities and responsibilities
• Unload and load delivery vehicles.
• Load customer's products in their vehicles when needed.
• Merchandise plants and products.
• Provide care for plants (watering)
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Any other related tasks as determined by the Garden Center Manager.
• Support Garden Centre staff as required.

• Give recommendations to clients regarding plants and other garden-related products.

• Handpicking plant material based on Landscaper’s order requests.
• Handpicking plants for online orders.
• Preparing plants for customer deliveries.


Periodic Responsibilities
• Assist in quarterly inventories.
• Support Retail Staff as required (Labourers & Cashiers).
• Unload incoming deliveries.
• Any other related tasks as determined by the Garden Centre Manager.


Qualifications
• Horticultural Diploma / Certificate or relevant experience in the field of horticulture
• Retail and/or Customer service experience is an asset.
• Bilingualism is an asset.
• Good knowledge of trees, shrubs, evergreens, vines, annuals, and perennials, as well as their characteristics.
• Excellent communication skills.

The secondary focus is to provide support and relief to the administration staff during the busiest times. Instructions will be given from members of the finance team, from time to time.
